Screenwriter Jinu V Abraham said that there is a plan to bring a sequel and a prequel to the movie Kaduva. Jinu also shared that he wishes that one of the megastars could play the role of Kaduva's father Kaduvakkunnel Koruth Mappila. Jinu said that the story has to be set first and there are many hurdles to that.
Jinu also denied the news of Mohanlal coming in a cameo role as Kuruvachan's brother Kaduvakkunnel Mathan. Jinu clarified that it is just a work of fiction and Mohanlal's presence is wanted in this film but he is not in this film.
Meanwhile, Prithviraj had announced through Facebook that the release of Kaduva has postponed due to some unexpected reasons. The film, which was scheduled to release on June 30, was later postponed to July 7. "Bigger the dreams, larger the obstacles. Stronger the enemies, harder the fight! #KADUVA release has been postponed by one week to 07/07/2022 due to unforeseen circumstances. We will continue with all promotional activities as scheduled and keep faith in all your love and support for this mass action entertainer. We deeply apologize to all the fans, distributors, and theatre owners across the world;" Prithviraj wrote on Facebook.
Listin Stephen and Supriya Menon produce Kaduva. After Lucifer, Kaduva is a Malayalam movie starring Vivek Oberoi as the villain. Samyuktha Menon will play another lead role in the film.
Prithviraj will be playing the role of Kaduvakkunnel Kuruvachan in the film. Apart from Malayalam, the film will release in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Hindi. Adam John's director and screenwriter Jinu Abraham wrote the script for Kaduva. Sai Kumar, Siddique, Vijayaraghavan, Seema, and Priyanka will play the other roles.
