After a lengthy split of six years, Mohanlal and filmmaker Vysakh of Pulimurugan are now working together again on the next film Monster. After a very lengthy wait, the movie—which is being hailed as a suspense thriller—is finally scheduled to be released in theatres on Friday, October 21. After Pulimurugan's enormous success, Mohanlal and director Vysakh reunite with writer Uday Krishna for the film Monster. The Malayalam superstar recently shared a video on his social media accounts in which he discussed the much-anticipated film.
As seen in the video, Mohanlal claimed that Monster addresses a topic that is entirely unique to the Malayalam film industry. “For an actor, especially for me, Monster is a special film. This film has a lot of surprise elements. The biggest specialty of Monster is its subject. I think this film deals with a subject that is new to Malayalam cinema – and it is depicted in a very bold manner. The script is the star of this film. If you ask me if Monster has a hero or a villain, I would say that the script is both the antagonist and protagonist, here. Such films happen to an actor very rarely,” Mohanlal revealed.
Mohanlal spoke about Monster's action sequences in a different video. The veteran actor made a hint that, unlike their last film Pulimurugan, the Vysakh movie is not primarily concentrated on the action. However, Mohanlal also disclosed that there will be two significant action sequences in the film, both of which will be choreographed extremely differently.
In Vysakh's movie, Mohanlal plays the impressive character Lucky Singh, who gives the cops a hard time. Lakshmi Manchu, Siddique, Lena, Honey Rose, Sudev Nair, KB Ganesh Kumar, Johny Antony, Arjun Nandakumar, Kottayam Ramesh, and more A-list actors are featured in the much-anticipated film. The original score and songs were written by Deepak Dev. The photography director is Satheesh Kurup.
