Heroes used to be criticised by reviewers and audiences alike for their weak acting abilities as actors. Still, even when they deliver a fantastic performance, films fail to succeed. That is why Naga Chaitanya is concerned, as his two consecutive films have brought him to his knees.
Firstly, when "Thank You" appeared at the box office, Naga Chaitanya thought that it would be the biggest hit of his career, with Dil Raju and Vikram K Kumar on board. However, the film's box office failure came as a surprise to Naga Chaitanya.
Then followed Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha, and given that it was an adaptation of a superhit and Oscar-winning Hollywood film, who could expect it not to work? However, only a few filmmakers have succeeded in capturing and reproducing a film's essence. If stories are to be believed, Chay was even more devastated by Laal Singh's outcome.
According to a source, Chay wants to sit down with his father, senior superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni, to figure out where he is going wrong.
If big-budget screenplays don't provide him comfort, what about the other commercial films he wants to make now? His film with Venkat Prabhu is a police thriller, whereas his upcoming web series, Dootha, is a fantasy narrative. Chay wants to consult with his father before making any decisions about his next endeavours.
