Netflix To Launch Netflix Homes To Combat Subscriber Decline?

Netflix is one of the leading OTT platforms in the world. Netflix has been suffering huge losses in the past few days.

They lost thousands of subscribers to Netflix in a short period of time. Netflix's decline in subscribers has been blamed on a flurry of subscriptions and a loophole where users can use a Netflix account to watch by sharing passwords. Netflix has gone to great lengths to prevent multiple users from using the same account by sharing passwords.

According to reports coming out now, Netflix is going to introduce a new system to prevent the use of password-sharing accounts. With the introduction of a system called "Netflix Homes," Netflix hopes to prevent account sharing to some extent.

What Netflix means by the "Home" feature is to set a location permanently. You can watch Netflix on any number of devices in that location (depending on the plan chosen). If you're using Netflix while traveling, you can use Netflix in another location for up to 2 weeks. That location will be set as a temporary home.

If you share your password and use your account in another location for more than two weeks, your account will no longer be available on that device.

Now, if you want to include the home in another location, it can be done only by paying an additional amount. As the number of homes increases, additional charges will be payable.

This is how Netflix is reportedly trying to prevent subscriber loss by sharing passwords through a new feature called Home. There are also reports that the home feature will be implemented worldwide by next month.
