Yesteryear director Ahathian's youngest daughter Niranjani Ahathian recently tied the knot with director Desingh Periyasamy of Kannum Kannum Kollayadithaal. Their wedding pictures went viral on social media. She entered the industry as a costume designer and then made her acting debut with Kannum Kannum Kollayadithaal in which she played the supporting role of Shreya. The comedy heist film starred Dulquer Salmaan, Ritu Varma, VJ Rakshan and Gautham Menon in the lead roles. The film completed one year of release on February 26. Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal became a blockbuster hit and received praises from Superstar Rajinikanth as well.
After their wedding, Niranjani took to social media to share an adorable message to her husband Desingh Periyasamy. She wrote, "Thank you for trusting me and making me play Shreya in 'Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal', which changed my life. You gave me everything and you have become my everything as I type this next to you being your wife. I feel so blessed we are celebrating our success together. Love you so much Desi (Purusha)." Niranjani has two elder sisters Karthika alias Kani and Vijayalakshmi.
