Actor Jayasurya says the film Eesho has nothing to do with Christianity. He said Eesho is just the name of the character. Jayasurya said that to avoid confusion, the name Not from Bible was given along with the name Eesho. Jayasuriya says he has nothing to say when there is a misinterpretation like this.
Jayasurya said when the films Punyalan Agarbathis and Punyalan Pvt Ltd were made; no one came up with any problem. He added that it is unacceptable that outsiders come under control over the name of the film. He also said the film Eesho has a message to put forward. Jayasurya also said that the current misconception will change after watching that movie. His response was on the Reporter channel.
Jayasuriya said that it is very sad that the film is facing criticism even before its release because its name is Eesho. “If it hurts someone after the movie is released, you can go to court. We will be with you for that. The unseen God of artists is the audience. Therefore, filmmakers cannot do anything that hurts them;” said Jayasurya. Jayasuriya said that everyone should understand that.
A section of Christian organizations came out against the name of the film Eesho. They claim that the film insults Jesus and the Christian faith. Political leader PC George came forward with the same demand. The Catholic Congress has also announced a protest demanding a ban on the film Earlier, director Nadirshah said that he will not change the name. Eesho is a thriller film directed by Nadirsha after the movie Keshu Ee Veedinte Nadhan.
