'Love Today' is a love drama, and the filmmaker disclosed in a recent interview with a regional media outlet that the film's narrative includes elements derived from his own life. During the interview, Pradeep Ranganathan allegedly stated that the film has many events that he has witnessed in everyone's life and a few from his own. He also disclosed that he was dedicating the movie to his ex and made it plain that it was not a form of retaliation but a nice homage.
The filmmaker also allegedly stated that he still has a place in his life for his ex and that, while they are no longer friends, they do not despise each other. He also stated that the movie's message was intended to be humorous and that he wanted to see it just in that light because it is dedicated to all ex-boyfriends and ex-girlfriends.
