Puri Jagannadh Vacates Posh Mumbai Apartment In The Wake Of 'Liger' Box Office Debacle

Puri Jagannadh, the director of the film 'Liger,' is reportedly planning to return to Hyderabad, owing to the failure of his most recent release, 'Liger.'

Rumors circulate that the director has been forced to vacate his posh Mumbai sea-facing flat, which he pays a monthly rent of Rs 10 lakh. In addition to the rent, Jagannadh must bear maintenance costs, according to a news website report.

According to the report, the director is considering returning to his mansion in the upscale Jubilee Hills neighborhood. 'Liger,' starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, was a box office flop. Despite the huge buzz surrounding the film, it failed to generate footfall due to negative word-of-mouth and poor reviews.

Since the film's poor box office performance, reports claim that the team is working on ways to reimburse distributors and exhibitors for losses incurred during the film's theatrical run. Meanwhile, Puri Jagannadh's next film, 'Jana Gana Mana,' has been impacted by the success of 'Liger,' with reports claiming that the film has been shelved.
