RRR, starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR and directed by SS Rajamouli, will be released in Japan on October 21.
On Monday night, Tollywood star Ram Charan was sighted at the Hyderabad airport, all smiles as he posed for photos with his wife, Upasana Konidela, and puppy, Rhyme. The actor accessorized with fashionable sunglasses, a cap, and a backpack while dressed in a chic jacket combined with a tee-shirt and jeans combo. While cuddled in Upasana's arms, Rhyme was seen looking fondly at Ram, plainly longing to return to his arms.
Ram Charan and Jr NTR have already marketed the film in Japan through virtual interviews, and the former appears to be flying there for the release. SS Rajamouli's previous films, Magadheera, Eega, and Baahubali, performed exceptionally well in Japan, with many fans there still sharing images from the film. The rest of the team is due to arrive on Tuesday for a visit that will last about a week. In Japan, fan interactions are also apparently planned.
RRR's creators also intend to submit their picture independently to The Academy as a contender for the Oscars this year in a variety of categories. Ram Charan's next film will be directed by Shankar and titled #RC15. Kiara Advani portrays the female lead in the film, which is still in production. More information is awaited.
