Ram Charan had confirmed his forthcoming project with Jersey filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri. Rumors circulated that their future project, originally named RC 16, had been canceled. Ram Charan's public relations team has already stated that the film has been canceled. Yes, Ram Charan's next project with Gowtam will not take place as originally announced.
Ram Charan's publicist informed on Twitter that RC16 has been canceled. When such rumors first surfaced in April, Ram Charan batted them down in a media interview and affirmed that RC16 is still in the works. Gowtam is now working on an action-packed commercial drama. There have been speculations that he is working on a sports drama, but this is false. We're making an action picture. I've given him carte blanche. "I'm looking forward to working with a terrific director like Gowtam," Charan remarked.
Rashmika Mandanna was the front-runner for the film's female lead role. UV Creations, in collaboration with NVR Cinema, was financing the picture.
However, it has since been reported that RC16 has been put on hold for unclear reasons. It also stated that Ram Charan will be unveiling his next project shortly.
