Ram may push the release of Red due to coronavirus outbreak

Ram Pothineni is back in form after scoring a massive blockbuster with the film iSmart Shankar. Directed by Puri Jagannath, this film collected more than Rs. 80 crores at the box office and became the biggest hit in Ram's career. The actor is currently shooting for the film Red which is being directed by Kishore Tirumala. This film was initially slated for a release on April 9. But it seems that the makers will most likely push the release date due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The entire shooting of Red got wrapped up barring a song. The team thought of filming in Hyderabad towards the end of this month. But the Telugu film chamber has decided the other day to halt all the film shoot till the 31st of this month. Thus, shooting the song in the first week of April and releasing the film by the 9th of the same month will be a herculean task for the makers. Thus, they are planning to release it later. The new release date will get announced soon.

Nivetha Pethuraj, Malvika Sharma and Amrita Aiyer are playing the female lead roles in this thriller. Red is an official remake of Tamil hit film Thadam which had Arun Vijay in the lead role. Already, the film's teaser got released recently and received a good response from the audience. Mani Sharma is composing the music of this film. Red is being bankrolled by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore under the banner Sravanthi Movies. Stay tuned for more updates on this film.
