Director Maruthi Dasari’s last directorial film Prati Roju Pandage hit the theaters last December. It was a massive hit at the box office. The director has already started working on his next film. Rumour has it that Director Maruthi will be working with actor
Ram Pothineni on a family entertainer.
Ram was recently seen in the film
iSmart Shankar. The film shot him to fame. iSmart Shankar was a science flick. The film follows the tale of a contract killer who helps the police when a slain police officer's memories are transferred to his brain. Now Ram is looking to star in a family entertainer.
"Ram doesn’t like to be pigeonholed and wants to do a film that will take him closer to family audience. He has requested Maruthi to write a breezy family drama and the director has completed the script without compromises. He is giving finishing touches to the script of the film which will start rolling by early June," reveals a source.
The director is still working on casting the rest of the characters. The film is being produced by Geetha Arts 2.
The actor was busy working on the film Red directed by Kishore Tirumala. The film is the Telugu remake of the 2019 hit Tamil film Thadam. It is being produced under the Sri Sravanthi Movies banner. The films have three female leads -
Nivetha Pethuraj,
Malavika Sharma and
Amritha Aiyer. Mani Sharma is the music composer, Sameer Reddy the cinematographer and Junaid Siddiqui the editor.
The film was to hit the theaters on April 9th, 2020. However, the film release stands postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
