His recently released Cirkus trailer has impressed fans. In a recent interview with Esquire Singapore, he revealed how his sister had photo-shopped his face onto YRF posters. He has always been open about his struggles.
Ranveer Singh recalled a moment when things were difficult and said, “My sister had photoshopped my face onto two posters of Yash Raj Films and she had even photoshopped my face onto a person holding a Filmfare award. This is years before I even got the call to work with Yash Raj. So, I did manifest it. I hustled hard and created my own luck.”
He remarked how, like him, Deepika Padukone is also "from the outside" and doesn't hail from an acting family. They were able to relate because they had experienced and struggled with similar things.
He last appeared in the film Jayeshbhai Jordaar, which also starred Ratna Pathak Shah, Boman Irani, and Shalini Pandey. He will next be seen in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, a romantic comedy directed by Karan Johar. The movie is slated to premiere in theatres on April 28, 2023.
