Rishab Shetty Of Kantara Is Awarded The Most Promising Actor At The Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival

With his film Kantara, Sandalwood star Rishab Shetty established the Kannada film industry. The actor-director now has a new accomplishment on his list. At the esteemed Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival 2023, Rishab Shetty gained accolades. He won the award for the most promising actor during the event.

With his outstanding performance in Kantara, Rishab was able to win people over. The film was well-received both domestically and abroad. He made headlines earlier this week when he visited with PM Narendra Modi alongside KGF actor Yash and a few other notable Kannada actors. The Kantara actor previously opened up about his challenges, including being jobless, selling mineral water, working as a driver, and more, in an interview. This was in response to the huge success of his film Kantara. He also discussed how the popularity of Kantara caused him to reconsider his thought that no one would hire him as an actor after the age of 30. “Mineral water supply kiya tha. Aur tea powder becha tha. Solar ka marketing karta tha. Hotel tha mera, woh ek bada disaster tha. Uske baad construction karta tha, film industry mein mainstream aane se pehle, last work wahi tha (I supplied Mineral water. Sold tea powder. Did marketing for a solar company. I also had a hotel, it was a big disaster. After that, I was into construction, before entering into the mainstream film industry, that was my last work)", he said. According to reports, the Dadashab Phalke International Film Festival Award 2023 will occur on February 20 in Mumbai. The Taj Land End Hotel will host the award ceremony for the Kantara star.
