Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor shares a bitter-sweet relationship with his son Ranbir Kapoor. Rishi himself revealed this news to media on several occasions. There was a time when Rishi openly admitted that he 'screwed' up his relationship with Ranbir. Rishi made this statement to Mumbai Mirror in an interview in 2015.
Speaking in the interview, Rishi said that his father Raj Kapoor gave him space when he moved out after marriage. He also decided to do the same when Ranbir decided to move out with his girlfriend (Katrina Kaif back then). Rishi added that in their house, they had only one room for Ranbir. He further stated how can it be enough for a 33-year-old boy.
Rishi said that Ranbir is a great son. Both Rishi and Ranbir never interfere in the professional choices of each other. They prefer to be individual on that aspect. Rishi admitted that he screwed up his relationship with Ranbir even though his wife Neetu Kapoor kept on telling about what he was doing. Now, both of them will not adjust to the change. Rishi says that there is a glass wall between him and Ranbir. They can see each other and talk. That's it. Nothing more than that.
Rishi also felt sad to admit the fact that Ranbir doesn't live with them anymore. The Bobby actor said that they are building a new house in which Ranbir will have an ample space to live along with his family. "Till then, life goes on," concluded Rishi.
