Ved, a Marathi film starring Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh, has generated strong box office results. It has now brought back the good times for the Marathi industry. The real-life and fictional couple marked the anniversary by planning a lavish celebration of the movie's success. Riteish and Genelia were seen cutting a cake in front of the press and guests. They both donned T-shirts with the word "Ved" written in Marathi.
Tujhe Meri Kasam celebrated its 20th anniversary on this occasion. The movie starred Ritesh and Genelia. This also happened to be yesterday (released on January 3, 2003). Both stars made their acting debut in the movie.
Riteish gave a speech at the celebration of Tujhe Meri Kasam's 20th anniversary, saying, “The film has completed 20 years today. Thank you all of you for that. Thank you so much for being with us for the last 20 years. And just like the first film, we just feel that this is just the beginning.”
The 1999 Malayalam film Niram served as the inspiration for K Vijaya Bhaskar's Tujhe Meri Kasam. Additionally, the movie served as Shriya Saran's Hindi film debut. Interestingly, Tujhe Meri Kasam has been re-released several times in Maharashtra's minor towns over the previous 20 years due to its fan base.
