Riteish Deshmukh Responds To Jayam Ravi’s Praise Of Ved

Riteish Deshmukh has responded as Jayam Ravi congratulated actor Riteish Deshmukh and actor Genelia D'Souza on the success of their Marathi romantic action flick Ved. Riteish responded to a comment by market analyst Taran Adarsh regarding Ved's box office performance.

 
Sharing Taran's tweet, Riteish wrote, Reacting to Riteish's tweet, Jayam Ravi wrote,
 
Riteish answered: Genevieve tweeted as well, "Ravi, thank you so much. Wishing you both a pleasant day." Riteish wed Genelia in 2012, while Jayam married Aarthi in 2009.
 
Riteish makes his Marathi film directing debut with Ved. It premiered on December 30, 2022, in theatres. The movie also serves as Genelia's Marathi film debut. In the movie, Salman makes a cameo appearance. Genelia first hinted that she would shortly be making her Marathi debut with Ved in December 2021.
 
Sharing a video, the actor wrote on Instagram, "Have been blessed to be part of movies in so many languages and receive love and respect from all. Being born in Maharashtra, my heart yearned to do a film in Marathi for years. And was hoping there would be a script where I could just say this is it. And, then this happened - My first Marathi film. Me coming back to acting after 10 long years. And being part of a dream where my husband Riteish Deshmukh directs for the first time. And I get to share space with a beautiful co-actor Jiya Shankar who gets introduced under our production house MFC."
 
Riteish will co-star with Sonakshi Sinha and Saqib Saleem in the upcoming horror comedy Kakuda. Alongside John Abraham, Nora Fatehi, and Shehnaaz Gill, he also appears in Sajid Khan's comedy 100 percent.
 
The sequel to Mani Ratnam's blockbuster work Ponniyin Selvan will include Jayam. Aishwarya Rai, Vikram, Trisha Krishnan, and Karthik Sivakumar are also featured in the movie. The movie is scheduled to debut on April 28, 2023. The Tamil novel Ponniyin Selvan-1 was adapted for the big screen by author Kalki Krishnamurthy.
