In recognition of his contributions to Indian entertainment, filmmaker Rohit Shetty received the Pride of India award at the Society Achievers Awards ceremony last night in Mumbai. Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, performed the honours, while his deputy Devendra Fadnavis also graced the platform.

 
Shetty wore a grey suit and a black shirt. He posted a picture of the medal on his official Instagram profile, expressing his gratitude and writing,

Bollywood stars including Hema Malini, Madhur Bhandarkar, Tamannah Bhatia, Farah Khan, and Sonu Sood were among the stars who attended the event.
 
Cirkus, starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde, and Varun Sharma, is Shetty's upcoming feature as a filmmaker. Shetty is known for his extravagant entertainment movies. Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors, a famous drama, served as the source of inspiration for the movie.
 
The filmmaker will also make his digital debut next year with the cop thriller Indian Police Force for Amazon Prime Video. Sidharth Malhotra will be seen playing the role of a cop in the show, alongside Vivek Oberoi and Shilpa Shetty Kundra.
