After a long gap, director Deva Katta has signed his new project. The Prasthanam filmmaker's last directorial was the 2015 film Dynamite. After that, he helmed the Netflix series Baahubali: The Beginning, which is yet to be out. Deva Katta's new project will feature Sai Dharam Tej in the lead role. We hear that senior actress Ramya Krishnan is playing a crucial role in this film. Apparently, she is essaying the Chief Minister role in the movie.
According to the sources, Deva Katta has narrated the script to Ramya and the latter was quite impressed with it. Thus, she gave an immediate nod to the film. This will be the first project of Ramya with Sai Dharam Tej. The regular shooting of this untitled film will go on floors from the 20th of April. The makers are going to shoot for 27 days non-stop during the first schedule of this film. Touted to be a political thriller, the story of this film is set in the backdrop of Eluru. Deva wrote this story by getting inspired by real-life political incidents that happened around 2004. Sai Dharam Tej will play the role of a doctor in the movie. Nivetha Pethuraj got signed up as the leading lady. J. Bhagawan and Pullarao are jointly bankrolling the project. The makers are planning to release the film in August this year.
Sai Dharam Tej was last seen in Prati Roju Pandaage, which became a blockbuster success. He is now prepping up for the release of his next film Solo Brathuke So Better.
