Samantha bids farewell to Irrfan Khan with a heartfelt post

India woke up to a sad news yesterday as one of the most celebrated actors of the Indian film industry, Irrfan Khan has passed away. Irrfan breathed his last in Mumbai the other day. The actor was suffering from colon infection for the last two years. After battling cancer for more than two years, Irrfan has rested in peace. But he left a huge void in Indian cinema. The entire Indian film industry got shocked by the demise of Irrfan. Many celebrities have mourned his death. Even actress Samantha Akkineni paid her last respects to the actor.

Yesterday, Samantha posted a clip from Irrfan's film Life of Pi. She then captioned the video as, "R.I.P Irrfan khan... gone too soon." In the clip, we can see Irrfan uttering the dialogues, "I suppose, in the end, the whole life becomes an act of letting go. But what always hurts the most is not taking a moment to say goodbye." This line perfectly suits the life of Irrfan. Thus, all of his fans are bidding him adieu with this quote.

Irrfan Khan was last seen in the film Angrezi Meidum. Directed by Homi Adajania, this film had hit the screens in March this year. The actor's last rites got performed last night in Mumbai.

Coming to Samantha, the actress was last seen in the film Jaanu. This film featured Sharwanand in the other lead role. She will be next seen in the web series The Family Man Season 2. This marks Samantha's debut on digital platforms. She has also signed a Tamil film called Kathu Vakula Rendu Kadhal, which is being directed by Vignesh Shivn.
