Samantha Ruth Prabhu, the actor who has been traveling across India to promote her latest film Shaakuntalam, has informed her fans on Twitter that she is unwell. Samantha shared that she has a fever and lost her voice due to the demanding schedules of her upcoming romantic drama. In her tweet, Samantha said,

 
Fans responded to Samantha's tweet with messages of support and encouragement. They urged her to take her time and recover fully. Shaakuntalam is a mythological romantic drama based on the popular play Shakuntala by Kalidasa. The film depicts the love story of King Dushyant and Shakuntala. The duo met during a hunting trip in the jungle and got married under the Gandharva system. Samantha stars in the film alongside Dev Mohan. The film is set to release on April 14 in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
 
Samantha has been actively promoting the film, traveling to Mumbai and Hyderabad to unveil the new trailer. On Instagram, she posted the trailer and captioned it,

Samantha was last seen in the sci-fi thriller film Yashoda, which received positive responses from the audience. She will next appear in the romantic film Khusi alongside Vijay Deverakonda and the action thriller web series Citadel alongside Varun Dhawan.
 
Despite her illness, Samantha remains committed to her work and is grateful for the support of her fans. In her tweet, she encouraged her fans to attend the Annual Day Event of MLRIT and wished them well. "Please join team #Shaakuntalam at the Annual Day Event of MLRIT this evening… will miss you (red heart emoji)," Samantha wrote. We wish Samantha a speedy recovery and hope to see her back in action soon!
