Sarathkumar Celebrates 30 Years Of Surieyan

Sarathkumar is one of the celebrated veteran actors in the Tamil cinema. 20 years ago, he rose to prominence when director Pavithran's Surieyan turned out to be blockbuster hit. The film features Sarathkumar, Roja and Goundamani in lead roles. The filmc ompleted 30 years of release on August 14. To celebrate the special occasion, Sarathkumar took to social media to share throwback photos from the film. Earlier, he revealed that Surieyan helped him carve a place for him in the film industry.

Sarathkumar posted, "It is so blissful to think that 30 years have passed since the release of Surieyan, the turning point in my film career and one of the biggest commercial hit at that point of time. It is nostalgic when I think back #Surieyan produced by my good friend, gentleman @KT_Kunjumon, directed by @Dir_Pavithran, music by #Deva, cinematography by #AshokKumar, and stunts by #SuperSubbarayan, Reminiscing the joyous moments celebrated by the fans and the audience at large. My hearty thanks to each and everyone of them who made this possible. And it's very proud to think that many of the technicians who worked with me during #Surieyan have reached greater heights in their pursuit to achieve in the film industry.The journey continues!"
