Suriya is riding high on the success of his recently released film titled Soorarai Pottru, directed by Sudha Kongaru. The film released on Amazon Prime Video on January 12. Post the success of Soorarai Pottru, Suriya seems to be on a film signing spree. He has signed a film with director Pandiraj and the untitled film marks Suriya's 40th film. The untitled film is said to be a rural entertainer similar to Pandiraj's previous films. Suriya is expected to be sporting a long hair for his character in this film. Now, the latest addition to the film's cast in veteran actor Sathyaraj.
Suriya's upcoming film will be produced by Sun Pictures. The production house announced the same with the caption, "The immensely dynamic actor #Sathyaraj joins the cast of #Suriya40BySunPictures (sic)." Produced by Sun Pictures, the film will feature Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead. The rest of the cast and crew will be out in the coming days. Suriya has wrapped up the shooting of Gautham Menon's Navarasa, which is a part of Netflix's anthology.
