The song Kudiyee Ni Teri from Akshay Kumar and Mrunal Thakur's upcoming movie Selfiee has a teaser out right now. The 17-second teaser features Akshay making his entrance in a long jacket with the buttons undone, flashing his six-pack, shooting down a helicopter with a multi-gun system, and dancing with Mrunal Thakur to loud Punjabi music. Mrunal appears sexy in a delicate pink gown.
Tanishk Bagchi has remade the original song by The PropheC and Zahrah Khan and added a few more lines to the new version.
In the movie Selfiee, Mrunal Thakur portrays an actor and only makes a brief cameo appearance. The main actors in the movie are Akshay, Emraan Hashmi, Diana Penty, and Nushratt Bharuccha. Raj Mehta, famed for the film Good Newwz, is the director.
Another remake of Akshay's classic hit song from the 1994 movie Main Khiladi Tu Anari appeared in the first song from the movie Main Khiladi. Tanishk has stated about the song, "I always compose every song as it's my first. The experience of making Main Khiladi was groovy & fun. However, after Tip Tip's huge hit, the pressure was more as this song was being composed for the OG Khiladi, 'Akshay Kumar'. The wacky steps have added more pep to the song. We have worked so hard for this. This is going to be your new favorite song to play on a loop."
The Malayalam movie Driving License, in which Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu played the key roles, was translated into Hindi as Selfiee. Akshay and Emraan are set to reprise their roles in the remake. The movie is scheduled to debut on February 24, 2023.
