Shah Rukh Khan to shoot for Atlee's film after Pathan?

Director Atlee, an erstwhile assistant to Shankar, made his directorial debut with Raja Rani. The film became a blockbuster and opened doors for him to approach Vijay. Since Raja Rani, all the three films he has done featured Vijay in the lead role. Theri, Mersal and Bigil are the three films Atlee did with VIjay. Reports suggest that they are in talks to do their fourth film. However, before that, Atlee is expected to make his first Bollywood film with Shah Rukh Khan. The latest reports suggest that Atlee is now working on the screenplay of the film at a hotel.

If everything goes as per plan, Atlee's film with Shah Rukh Khan will commence later this year. The restrictions imposed by the governments due to the pandemic had played spoilsport in their plans. Shah Rukh Khan seemed to have been impressed with Atee's work and has agreed to start shooting as well. He is currently shooting for his comeback film Pathan. Once he wraps up Pathan, he will start his work on director Atlee's film. Shah Rukh Khan is fond of Atlee and it is visible in the number of times the duo met in Chennai and Mumbai.
