Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming movie, Pathaan, is all set to be released on January 25th. The film is being hyped up a lot, and with absolutely no promotions for the film, there's a lot of mystery surrounding the film. The movie marks the return of SRK to the big screen after more than four years. He was last seen in Zero, which was released in 2018. With SRK returning after so much gap, the expectations are naturally high, and the pre-sales are at an all-time high in Bollywood.
The last film that saw huge pre-sales in Bollywood was War. War was directed by Siddharth Anand, who is also the director of Pathaan. There are a lot of expectations of the director's vision, which he executed for Pathaan. Currently, the pre-sales of Pathaan are over Rs.4.19 Lakhs. For War, it was 4.10 Lakhs. Even though Pathaan has overtaken War, KGF 2 and Baahubali 2 still occupy the second and first positions respectively.
There's no clarity over whether Pathaan will be able to overtake KGF 2 and Baahubali 2, but most certainly Pathaan's pre-sales are a huge breath of relief for Bollywood, which has been going through a slump in recent times. Deepika Padukone is the leading lady in this film and has teamed up with SRK for the fourth time. They previously collaborated for Om Shanti Om, Happy New Year, and Chennai Express. All of those films were huge hits. It is now expected that Pathaan will be a huge success as well.
