Shriya Saran And Andrei Koscheev Reveal Why They Chose Radha For Their Daughter's Name

Shriya Saran and Andrei Koscheev welcomed a baby girl this January. However, the couple managed to keep the pregnancy and the birth a secret for almost a year. Shriya revealed that she and Andrei wanted to deal with the pregnancy on their terms and hence they planned to keep it a secret. A couple of days ago, Shriya Saran and Andrei Koscheev announced the arrival of their baby girl. What caught everyone's attention was the name they chose for their little one. Shriya and Andrei call their daughter Radha their daughter's name.

In an interview to The Times of India, Andrei Koscheev said, "Shriya was talking to her mom on the phone before the baby was born. We had just found out that we were going to be having a baby girl. And then her mom just started calling her Radha Rani and I was like, ‘why?’ I asked because in Russian, ‘Radha’ means happiness. Both Russian and Hindi come from Sanskrit and ‘Radha’ in both our languages means happiness. And right there we knew that was the name for our child. We weren’t considering any other option. We just decided in five minutes that she was Radha.." Radha is now nine months old.
