Simbu To Announce His 48th Film With Ishari Ganesh On September 18

There is no stopping Simbu AKA Silambarasan. The actor has been on a film signing spree especially after his drastic physical transformation in 2020. During the lockdown, Simbu realized that he has put on weight and went on a strict diet. He then signed Eeswaran with Suseenthiran. Eeswaran was released in theatres early this year and received a mixed response. Post-Eeswaran, more and more offers have been coming his way. Currently, he is shooting for director Gautham Menon's Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu, which is tipped to be a rural entertainer. The shooting is progressing at a brisk pace and will release in theatres next year.

Now, Simbu has signed another film, which has been tentatively titled STR48. The film will be produced by Ishari Ganesh under Vels Film International. The film will be announced officially on September 18. The official Twitter handle of Vels Film International shared a quirky announcement video and wrote,

Looking at the video, Simbu could be playing the role of a cricketer in the upcoming film. An official announcement will be out tomorrow, September 18.
