Sivakarthikeyan's Doctor to release on March 26

Actor Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming release is Doctor with director Nelson Dilipkumar. The film was supposed to release last year in summer, but had t o be postponed due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. Recently, the makers wrapped up the film's shooting and shared the film's motion poster in November 2020, which became a massive hit on the internet. Reportedly, the makers had initially planned to release Doctor on April 16 alongside Vijay Sethupathi's Tughlaq Durbar. Now, Sivakarthikeyan's fans have a reason to rejoice as Doctor is all set to hit the theatres ahead of April.

Sivakarthikeyan, on February 3, took to Twitter to reveal the release date of Doctor. According to his announcement, Doctor will release in theatres on March 26. She shared a new poster and wrote, "Doctor from March 26 (sic)." The shooting of Doctor began in December 2019 with major portions being shot in Goa. According to reports, Doctor is based on an organ trafficking racket which took place in India. Doctor also stars Priyanka Arul Mohan, Vijay Rai, Yogu Babu, Ilavarasu, and Archana Chandhoke in important roles. The film has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander.
