The makers have released the trailer of Theru, directed by SJ Sinu and starring Amit Chakalakal. Prithviraj Sukumaran released the trailer through social media. Theru is an action thriller film. The film Theru is produced by Joby P. Sam under the banner of Blue Hill Films.

Along with Amit Chakalakal, Kalabhavan Shajon, Baburaj, Vijayaraghavan, Sreejith Ravi, Prashant Alexander, Pramod Veliyanad, Sanju Sivaram, Aziz Nedumangad, Sminu Sijo, Nilja K Baby, Veena Nair, Rhea Saira, Suresh Babu, and others, are also appearing in the lead roles. Despite being an action thriller, this film tells a family story in the background. The film Theru will hit theatres soon. Palakkad and surrounding areas were the main locations of the movie Theru. The screenplay and dialogues for the film were written by Dinil PK. Samjit Mohammed edited the film, Prashant Madhav directed the art. Biju K Thomas was the production controller, Anirudh Santhosh was the chief associate director. Vicky Master, Dinesh Kashi was the conflict director.
