Veteran actor Mohan Babu was last seen playing a crucial character in Suriya's Soorarai Pattru. Mohan Babu is now returning to the silver screen in a major role after a long hiatus. A new poster for his upcoming film Son of India just dropped today. The veteran actor's intense avatar is one to watch out for. The poster shows Babu's character wearing a kurta. He is also wearing rudraksha mala in his neck. Babu has dawned on a new hair-do and is sporting a beard in this never before seen intense look. The title of the film is set in the tri-colored Indian flag.

 
Directed by Diamond Ratnababu, Son of India follows the life of a seasoned politician who becomes the Chief Minister of a state. Director Diamond Ratnababu has also penned the dialogues of the film along with Thorapalli Sainath. Mohan Babu's son Vishnu Manchu is bankrolling the film under the Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures and 24 Frames Factory banners. Apart from Mohan Babu, the film also stars Srikanth, Tanikella Bharani, and Ali. The production seems to be a family affair. Vishnu Manchu's wife Viranica Manchu has turned stylist for the film. Music maestro Ilayaraja is working on the film's score.
 
Mohan Babu who is widely known for his blockbusters like Assembly Rowdy, Major Chandrakanth, and Pedarayudu, has also worked on the screenplay of Son of India.
 
Lakshmi Manchu, Babu's daughter, took to her social media to share the first look poster. " The COLLECTION KING IS BACK Super excited for this one!!!! ••• Patriotism is in his blood, Meet #SonOfIndia. Here's #SonOfIndiaFirstlook," she wrote along wit the intense poster.
