Sonakshi Sinha Plays The Dabangg Police To Catch Vijay Varma's Serial Killer In The Dahaad Trailer

With her first web series, Dahaad, Sonakshi Sinha has returned to the big screen. She is portrayed as a courageous cop pursuing a serial killer in the show's Thursday-released teaser. Vijay Varma is back to play the antagonist once more. In the movie, he seduces females before forcing them to commit suicide. He portrayed an abusive spouse in the movie Darlings.

In the capturing two-and-a-half-minute video, Sonakshi plays the role of a cop. She begins to make connections as multiple women commit suicide one by one. As she sets out to find the murderer, she can be seen convincingly mouthing dialogue in a Haryanvi accent. Gulshan also joins her in the police force. However, Vijay Varma seems to promise to play a ruthless antagonist once more. One scenario that stands out is Sonakshi dealing with eve teasing while wearing a uniform and shooing them away with her curses. The eight-episode show's synopsis stated: "When a series of women are found dead in public bathrooms under mysterious circumstances, Sub-inspector Anjali Bhaati is tasked with leading the investigation. As the case unravels she begins to suspect that the seemingly clear-cut suicides may be the work of a serial killer on the loose, triggering a riveting game of cat and mouse between a seasoned criminal and an underdog cop." Dahaad was created by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar and is directed by Reema and Ruchika Oberoi. On May 12, it will be available on Amazon Prime. Dahaad was the second Berlinale showcase for Entertainment & Tiger Baby after Gully Boy in 2019. Seven international shows competed against the crime drama. Sonakshi is making her OTT debut with this. She is currently working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's series Heeramandi.
