2020 has been extremely unsuccessful for the entertainment industry. With the lockdown having been imposed everywhere, all film shootings had to be put on hold. Sonam Kapoor stayed in her Delhi house with her husband Anand Ahuja during this lockdown. Recently, she moved to Mumbai as the government eased the lockdown. She took to social media to show how much she misses shooting. To express this she shared a throwback picture of Khoobsurat (2014). The film was helmed by Shashanka Ghosh. It follows a quirky physiotherapist who falls in love with a prince. It follows her tryst with a royal household.
The film stars The film also starred Ratna Pathak Shah, Kirron Kher, Fawad Khan. Sharing a candid still from the set of the film, Sonam recalled her experiences while shooting. She mentioned that Mili is one of her most loved characters and expressed that with a note.

Meanwhile, even among the COVID-19 situation, the Maharashtra government did give permission to commence shootings. However, a lot of guidelines need to be followed. Recently, Akshay Kumar was the first to shoot a small ad film with R Balki with a very limited crew. On the work front, Sonam was last in Dulquer Salmaan co-starrer The Zoya Factor.
