When the government has imposed a strict lockdown of the film and television shoots, the industry big wigs have conducted several meetings with Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav. After a few discussions, the government of Telangana has allowed the resumption of film and television shoots, but with a few restrictions. Ace director SS Rajamouli was one of the frontline members of the industry who strongly fought for the resumption of the shootings. It has been almost a month since the government has given permission. But still, Rajamouli is yet to start the works of his upcoming film RRR. He stated that he will conduct a test shoot first with a limited crew. We hear that the director backed out from the idea as he needs a huge crew to shoot the film.
During the discussions, Rajamouli and a few other directors assured the government that films can get filmed with a limited crew. However, when he brainstormed with his team, the director realized that he needs at least 250-300 people. As of now, the government has ordered not to shoot with more than 50 people. In that case, it is highly impossible for Rajamouli to even conduct a test shoot. Even the cases are increasing every day.
Thus, Rajamouli has decided to resume the shoot only when the situation gets back to the normal state. RRR features Jr. NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles.
