Suriya and Jyotika step out for an event

Suriya is one of the best powerhouse performers in South India. His career has seen a lot of ups and downs and recently he achieved another high with the release of Sudha Kongara Prasad's Soorarai Pottru. The film, which was sent to Oscars, is in contentions for Best Actor and Best Actress categories. On February 7, Suriya took to Twitter to reveal that he has tested positive for the novel coronavirus and got himself admitted to a hospital for treatment. After receiving treatment for a few days, he got discharged and was asked to observe home quarantine. Eventually, he tested negative for Covid-19.

Recently, Suriya and Jyotika along with their family members were spotted attending the inauguration of a school in Palavakkam, Chennai. A video of Suriya taking a stroll around the school is going viral on social media. In the video, he points at a beautiful aquarium to one of the kids along with him. Suriya recently wrapped up the shooting for Navarasa, which is an anthology produced by Mani Ratnam and Jayendra Panchapakesan. He is all set to join the sets of director Pandiraj's upcoming film, produced by Sun Pictures.
