Sushant Singh Rajput had bipolar disorder, confirmed one of his doctors. A senior doctor, from a leading hospital, allegedly confirmed the diagnosis. One out of the three psychiatrists questioned in relation to Sushant’s mental health confirmed the diagnosis, a Mid-Day report said.
The Bandra Police recorded the statements of three psychiatrists and one psychotherapist in relation to Sushant Singh Rajput’s case said a report. An anonymous officer revealed that Sushant changed doctors frequently. "The actor used to change his doctors after two to three visits. He has not visited the three psychiatrists more than three times each. The doctor he last visited had given him some medicines for the disease he was diagnosed with but the actor took them for about two months. He had consulted the psychiatrist over the phone during lockdown but he did not follow his advice," the officer revealed to Mid-Day.
DCP Abhishek Trimukhe, Zone IX, revealed that 4 medical professionals recorded their statements.
He stated, "The Bandra police have recorded the statements of the three psychiatrists and one psychotherapist with respect to Sushant's death."
Reports say that Sushant started visiting these doctors in November 2018. One of his doctors revealed that Sushant stopped taking the meditation once he felt better. He added that the medication prescribed needed to be taken for a longer duration.
The news of Sushant Singh Rajput's death by suicide shocked the nation. The Mumbai Police launched a probe to investigate if causes other than depression could have led to his death.
