Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy costume stories: Chiranjeevi film should serve as future reference

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is having grand release on October 2 in multiple languages. The film says to be more fictional drama than a biopic. One more reason the film is special is that it has Chiranjeevi's daughter Sushmitha Konidela has worked on the costumes for the film.

Since the film is set in the 1800s there were very fewer references. Hence she thought that her work in the film should be a future reference and the team meticulously spoke to locals and historians.

For Chiranjeevi, she imagined him with a panchakacham, turban, shawl and a thick moustache. Both actresses Nayanthara and Tamannaah who play his wives, the designer used 12 mts saree as opposed to the 4 or 6 metres saree. Nayan's saree was uniquely wrapped while Tamannaah's designs intricate to bring a rich look.

For Amitabh Bachchan's Bollywood designer Anju Modi chose Bhagalpudi Khadi silk and made him look like a sage.
