Tanya Hope is currently juggling a couple of films in Kollywood, including Santhanam's multilingual Kick, but she has signed her next here. She will play the lead in a suspense thriller alongside Vaibhav.
“I signed this film about three weeks ago,” she informs. Ask her what pulled her to the film, and she says, “My role. It’s a suspense thriller, and I can’t exactly say what my role is, as it will reveal the plot. But it’s a very unconventional role.” She further adds, “I have done a variety of films, but my roles were quite similar. I got tired of doing the same kind of characters repeatedly. So, when director Sherief got me this film, I was quite excited. Even Thadam (with which she debuted in Kollywood) was a thriller, but the role in this film is very new for me. It’s not the usual la-di-da; I get ample scope to perform in this. There are even a few stunt sequences. I’ve been looking for characters that require me to go beyond the usual, and this one will give me the freedom to do it.”
Tanya claims there is no love story between the characters she plays and Vaibhav. "This is not a love story in the least. "Our characters run parallel throughout the film," she continues.
The actress will begin filming the film on October 29 in Chennai and plans to complete it in three weeks, with photography by Balaji K Raja and music by Arrol Corelli.
