The High Court Rejected CASA's Plea To Block The Release Of Eesho

The High Court has rejected a petition seeking denial of permission to screen the film Eesho. The High Court rejected public interest litigation filed by the Christian Association for Social Action.

Nadirshah's response to the rejection of the petition was that God is great. The petition alleges that the name of the film hurts religious sentiments. However, the court found the petition non-existent and dismissed the petition. The rejection was on the ground that they could not intervene just because it bears the name of God.

Earlier politician P C George and Catholic Congress has come out against Nadirshah’s new films. The Catholic Congress has demanded that the government ban the films of director Nadirshah. The Catholic Congress has accused Nadirshah of insulting Christians by naming his new films. The films are Jayasurya’s Eesho and Dileep starrer Keshu Ee Veedinte Nadhan.

Nadirshah said that he would not change the name of the films. He added that he is ready to face the consequences as well. Nadirshah said the title of the film does not offend any religious belief and does not intend to change the name.

After Amar Akbar Anthony, Jayasurya is collaborating with Nadirshah for Eesho. Another cast member of Amar Akbar Anthony, Namitha Pramod also plays a lead role in the film. Keshu Ee Veedinte Nathan, featuring Dileep and Urvashi as a middle-aged couple, recently completed shooting.
