The Tollywood film industry is one of the film industries in India that generate a lot of revenue every year. Of all the film industries, a huge business takes place in Telugu, after the Hindi film industry. There is special glamour attention to the Telugu film industry too. Over the years, the directors are also daring to make high budget movies and the production costs are also getting increased with every film. In the middle of all this, the star heroes of Telugu are very particular about their remunerations.
Interestingly, 10 to 15% of the film budget is going as remuneration for the lead actor. If it is a star hero, then and they will get a massive double-digit remuneration.
Superstar Mahesh Babu and Power Star Pawan Kalyan were the first star heroes to touch the double-digit remunerations with 'Dookudu' and 'Gabbar Singh'. Young Rebel Star Prabhas also joined this list after 'Baahubali'. Prabhas became the first-star hero to take 50 crores remuneration and for 'Saaho' he collected a huge amount of 75 crores. Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu also receive 50 crores of remuneration with each movie.
Apart from these 3 heroes, no other hero has touched this 50 crore barrier. Apart from remunerations, they also focus on high budget movies. When Prabhas is doing movies of budget around 250 crores, Mahesh and Pawan Kalyan are showing interest in movies with at least 100 crores budget.
The producers want to do films in limited budgets but on the other side, it looks impossible.
