Tollywood film industry calls for a shut-down; no film shoots to take place till month-end

The Corona Virus epidemic has been affecting the film industry as well. Most of the movies that actually planned to get released for Ugadi are getting postponed. This is a big shock to the trade of all the fans of the Telugu cinema. On the other hand, filmmakers are halting the shooting of their films for a few days. As per the latest reports, because of this fast-spreading virus, the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce in association with MAA took a decision. According to them, the shootings of movies that are taking place in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh should get halted.

The officials have taken this decision after a meeting Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce Association. MAA and Producers Council also took part in the meeting. All of them jointly took this decision after a meeting that took place on Saturday. So, all the movie units should have to follow this and should stop the shooting of their films. They can only resume the shooting only after getting permission from the officials. On the other hand, the Telangana government also decided to shut down movie theatres, schools, etc till March 31st. But, some films that already planned heavy schedules are currently carrying on with their plans.

On the other hand, the situation is the same even in North India. All the departments related to Bollywood entertainment revealed that the shootings will not happen till 31st. The situation is slowly getting worse and let us hope that there won't be more deaths in our country.
