Transgenders renders a song in 'Darbar' movie

Transgenders Chandramukhi, Rachana Mudraboina, and Priya Murthi have got an opportunity to sing a special song for Rajinikanth's upcoming film 'Darbar' directed by AR Murugadoss. This is certainly a rare opportunity for these Hyderabad based transgender women.

These three Hyderabad-based transgender women are also a part of a music band called 'Spicy Girls'. They have recently recorded the song for 'Darbar' composed by Anirudh Ravichander, in Chennai. Singer Rahul Sipiligunj who won the third season of Bigg Boss Telugu is the one who reportedly referred these three to Anirudh.
"Darbar movie has to feature dance by the transgender community. Initially, we planned to get a regular singer but then Anirudh then decided to keep it authentic. We have experience in performing at stage shows. But, when we got that opportunity, we couldn't believe our luck," said Chandramukhi.
The trio has rendered the song in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi languages. "We did at least a dozen rehearsals before the song got finalized" added Chandramukhi.
The song will come out soon on Youtube and Anirudh has special plans to launch it online.
