Popular actor, dialogue writer, director and producer, Gollapudi Maruthi Rao got admitted to a private hospital in Chennai, due to certain health issues. As of now, we are hearing that the actor is doing fine and there is nothing to worry about.
Meanwhile, Vice President of India, Venkaiah Naidu visited Maruthi Rao in Chennai the other day. Venkaiah spent some time with the actor, at the hospital and wished him for a fast recovery. He also spoke to the doctors, as well as the family members of Gollapudi.
Because of this illness, Gollapudi also skipped the recent celebrations of Telugu Cine Writers Associaton that took place on Sunday in Hyderabad. Megastar Chiranjeevi attended the event as a chief guest and felicitated multiple senior writers.
The 80-year-old actor started off his career as a theatre artist and eventually entered into films. He acted in memorable roles across various films like Samsaram Oo Chadrangam, Intlo Ramayya Veedhilo Krishnayya, Prema, Doctor Chakravarthy, Prema Pusthakam and the recent Leader. He also penned dialogues to many super hit films. We pray for his fast recovery and hope that Gollapudi gets back to the healthy state very soon.
