Veteran Actor Srikanth Dies At 82. Rajinikanth Remembers Him

Just a day after the demise of popular Malayalam actor Nedumudi Venu demise, another legend from the Tamil film industry has left for his heavenly abode. Veteran actor Srikanth breathed his last on Tuesday (October 12) at a hospital in Chennai. He was 82 years old. Due to age-related ailments, Srikanth died leaving his family members bereaved. Srikanth was a close friend of Superstar Rajinikanth. Srikanth was Rajinikanth's first antagonist when the former became a full-fledged hero with Bhairavi. Soon after knowing his friend Srikanth's demise, Rajinikanth took to Twitter to pay last respects. Superstar Rajinikanth's tweet read, "I'm deeply saddened by the demise of my dear friend Srikanth. May his soul rest in peace (sic)."

Veteran actor Sivakumar shared a video message in which he remembered his friend Srikanth and his timely help to comedy legend Nagesh during his initial days in cinema. Karthi, son of Sivakumar and actor, took to Twitter and wrote, "#RIPSrikanth sir, another veteran actor has left us. You will be fondly remembered by our Tamil people (sic)." Srikanth made his debut with director Cv Sridhar's Venniradai in which he shared the screen space with J Jayalalithaa. He had acted with many stars including Sivaji Ganesan, Rajinikanth, Sivakumar, Kamal Haasan, and Jayalalithaa, among others.
