Director Vetri Maaran is a happy man as his film Asuran won the Best Tamil Film in the 67th National Film Award, which was announced on March 22 in Delhi. In addition to Best Tamil Film, Dhanush, the lead actor of the film, won the Best Actor award. Now, Vetri Maaran is busy shooting for his upcoming film which has Soori playing the lead role and Vijay Sethupathi in a cameo. Vetri Maaran recently sat for an interview with a fitness trainer in which he opened up about his upcoming line up of projects. He also spoke about joining hands with Thalapathy Vijay for a film.
Vetri Maaran revealed that he met Vijay a few months ago and they both agreed to do a film. However, due to Vetri's busy schedule, he couldn't do the film then. Vetri maaran said that he will once again approach Vijay once he completes his current commitments. After completing Soori's film, Vetri Maaran has a film with producer Elred Kumar of RS Entertainment, a prequel to Vada Chennai and Vaadi Vaasal with actor Suriya. After completing these projects, Vetri will go ahead with a film with Vijay.
