Vijay Sethupathi To Play A Meaner Villain In Pushpa: The Rule?

Vijay Sethupathi had earlier worked in Uppena, which had the story written by Sukumar. Now, reports suggest that Vijay Sethupathi has been roped in to play an important role in Pushpa: The Rule. The film features Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles. Now, the sequel will have a new addition, which could take Pushpa to a different level.

Talking to The Times of India, a source said, "Vijay Sethupathi shares a close bond with Sukumar. He even acted in Buchi Babu Sana’s Uppena on Sukumar’s insistence. He was also approached to play the character of a forest officer in the film’s first part. But due to various circumstances, he could not take it up. This time though, Vijay has agreed to be a part of the film in a fresh Role of a mean, menacing antagonist. You have to understand that no matter how egoistic and powerful Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat is; he’s still a police officer. So he really can’t cause as much trouble to Pushpa as he wants. He will be bound by the system and his duty as a police officer. So he will now team up with this new character to cause havoc. You’ll need to wait and watch to see what the new villain will be like and why he agrees to face off against Pushpa.”
