Vijay Sethupathi's Masterchef Tamil Renewed For Second Season

Masterchef Tamil came to the houses of Tamil-speaking audiences through Sun TV. The cooking reality show introduced Vijay Sethupathi as the host. The first season was recently wrapped up and now the makers have announced that the show has been renewed for a new season. Innovative Film Academy and Endemol Shine, the producers of the show announced the second season. The auditions of the second season will begin on November 18. It is not clear if Vijay Sethupathi will be hosting the second show as well. More confirmation regarding the host of Masterchef Tamil Season 2 will be out soon.

Saravana Prasad, founder of Innovative Film Academy, in a statement, said, "We are elated to be announcing the second season of MasterChef Tamil. With the first season becoming an instant hit amongst Tamil diaspora across the globe, I am confident that the second season will create a benchmark, redefining the culinary space better than before. As the auditions are set to begin today, on November 18th, we are expecting a horde of talents to showcase their culinary skills and take our show to newer heights.” 28-year-old Devaki Vijayaraman won the first season and took home a cheque of Rs 25 lakh.
