Vijay Sethupathi is riding high on the success of his recently released film Master, which hit the theatres on January 13. The film, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, t has Vijay Sethupathi sharing screen space with actor Vijay. Last year, it was reported that Vijay Sethupathi will make his Bollywood debut with Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha, which is the official Hindi remake of English film The Forest Gump. The actor was supposed to shoot the film in summer 2020, but it has been postponed due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Now, it has been reported that Vijay Sethupathi has walked out of the film due to date clashes. Since Vijay Sethupathi got extremely busy with the projects that he had committed to before Laal Singh Chaddha, he requested Aamir Khan if he could find a suitable replacement for him in Laal Singh Chaddha. A source revealed, "Laal Singh Chaddha is not just a film. It will be a reference for the world to see what happened in India in the past few years like how the Paramount film Forrest Gump, starring Tom Hanks, did with reference to the US. Similarly, Laal Singh Chaddha will show Aamir meeting important political and historical personalities in VFX-laden visuals."
