After scoring a hit with Nerkonda Paarvai, Thala Ajith has teamed up again with director H. Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor for his next film Valimai. The project was launched last month and the regular shoot started a couple of days back in Hyderabad. Even Ajith is taking part in the schedule.
Meanwhile, there are a lot of speculations going on about the female lead of the film. According to the Kollywood sources, Yami Gautam might play the lead opposite Ajith in the film. Although Yami acted in a couple of Tamil films in the past, this movie will be her first major release in Kollywood. The makers will make an official announcement about Yami's inclusion very soon.
Yami is currently in form by scoring two hits this year, URI: The Surgical Strike and Bala. If Valimai also becomes a hit, her career shines in the south as well. Ajith is essaying the role of a cop in this action-based family drama. The film will hit the screens in the latter half of 2020. Stay tuned for more updates on it.
