Zayed Khan has announced his comeback with a new film, The Film That Never Was, at the Jio Studios event in Mumbai. In an interview, he shared how being the son of actor-filmmaker Sanjay Khan helped him get the biggest break as a newcomer. He also discussed the topic of nepotism and said that it is the responsibility of parents to provide opportunities to their children if they are from the film industry. At the event, a brief glimpse of the movie was shown, which featured Zayed interacting with veteran actor Jackie Shroff. Zayed made his acting debut in 2003 with Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne and became famous for his roles in Main Hoon Na, Shabd, and Dus.
Zayed talked about being privileged for coming from a film family in an interview with Bollywood Hungama. He said that access is effortless when you are in the industry, and it should be that way. He gave an example of a lawyer or a doctor or a businessman, saying if their child says that they want to become a DJ, they will get slapped. It is about the legacy, and it's not forced upon you. Zayed said that it's the God-given duty of parents to provide an opportunity to their children if they like the attention and have the skills. However, access is only the first step. The audience ultimately decides whether they like you or not.
Zayed had previously shared some details about his new film in May 2022. He posted on Instagram, revealing the acronym of the title as TFTNW and asking his followers to guess what it stands for. He promised that only after watching the movie would they know why it's titled that way.
